Cat’s Eyes are a duo formed by Faris Badwan, the singer from British psychedelic-rockers The Horrors and Rachel Zeffira, an Italian-Canadian opera soprano and classical multi-instrumentalist based in London.

While their self-titled debut seemed grown in the dark, the duo’s latest album Treasure House is flooded with light, featuring lush, expansive arrangements and pure voiced vocals with a sinister edge and moments of high drama.

Their soundtrack for Peter Strickland’s The Duke of Burgundy is a glorious concoction of Morricone, Nino Rota, and Broadcast’s harpsichord-laden reverie.

This is music made in Technicolor on a wide silver screen: infused with a potent sense of location, specifically the deserted town in Canada where Rachel grew up. Everything about their music feels cinematic.

Following guerrilla gigs at the Vatican and Buckingham Palace, their fully-fledged live show will be something to remember.

A co-promotion with Beacons Metro 2016.
