Matt Anderson

This year’s Headingley Festival of Ideas has the theme of change and so jazz-at-heart has engaged saxophonist and jazz educator Matt Anderson to perform and talk in a unique and interactive exploration of the history of jazz and its relationship to other musical styles in the 20th century.

Also on hand to assist with demonstrating the evolution of jazz from Louis Armstrong through to Miles Davis and beyond with live examples will be guitarist Jiannis Pavlidis.
