Alasdair Roberts is a renowned and pioneering musician based in Glasgow. His work combines self-written song material (which can be heard on albums such as Farewell Sorrow, The Amber Gatherers, Spoils and A Wonder Working Stone) and interpretations of traditional songs and ballads from Scotland and beyond (which can be heard on albums such as The Crook of My Arm, No Earthly Man and Too Long In This Condition). Long-time collaborator of Will Oldham, Robert’s songs revive the traditional song and balladry of the British Isles to tell tales of sweetly melodic tragedy. Alasdair has collaborated widely with many different musicians throughout his musical career, including the Scottish Gaelic singer Mairi Morrison, with whom he made the 2012 album Urstan.

Sound of Yell is the brainchild of Glasgow-based musician Stevie Jones - a regular collaborator with Alasdair. The latest album was released In November on Chemikal Underground Records to critical acclaim. Mostly instrumental compositions anchored in his dextrous and
harmonically sophisticated guitar playing.

Having previously fronted Loudmouth Soup and the Administrators, Ben Hall now purveys his skewed take on twisted, psychedelic folk under his own name and appearing with long time collaborator and multi instrumentalist Martin Riley. Wistful and wise, keep an ear peeled for the song ‘Nick Drake’s Northern Sky’, a weary repost to the Nick Drake song scheduled for official release in 2015.
