Akademi is marking the centenaries of World War I, Indian Cinema and the first Hindi short story with a physical dance work that tells a tale of love, loss and sacrifice against the backdrop of the horror and conflict of war.
Inspired by Film Noir and the era of black and white films, The Troth / Usne Kaha Tha unfolds its poignant narrative through powerful interplay between dance, music and film.
