Rick Wakeman, Lancaster Priory Choir, Gordon Giltrap

Rock legend Rick Wakeman will perform two unique candlelit concerts in Lancaster's historic Priory where he will be accompanied by the Lancaster Priory Choir and supported by the highly-acclaimed guitarist Gordon Giltrap.

Performing on grand piano and the Priory organ Rick will feature pieces from throughout his long and illustrious career, from his early recordings with Cat Stevens and David Bowie to his best-selling solo albums, including Jane Seymour on the Priory organ. Liberally sprinkled throughout will be humorous anecdotes from his eventful life and career. This is a one-off show in an iconic building that is definitely not to be missed!

Due to the limited capacity of this historic venue this is a fully VIP event, with opportunities to meet and be photographed with Rick and Gordon after the event (using your own camera or smartphone).

There will be a bar run by The Borough pub and dining rooms selling Borough Brewery real ales and lager, wines and soft drinks before and after the concert and during the interval (pre-ordered only).

Due to the number of seats with views that are restricted or totally obscured by pillars we intend to use the concerts to highlight the difficulties experienced by the partially sighted and blind within the community. Therefore we will donate a proportion of all ticket sales to provide subsidised tickets for local Lancashire charity Galloway's Society For The Blind.

Proceeds from these concerts will contribute towards the running costs of Lancaster Priory Church (a registered charity) and Lancaster Music Festival (a community interest company).

A maximum of 24 Platinum VIP packages will be available each day consisting of the following:

A seat in the front two rows,
(Saturday) a one and half hour tour of Lancaster's historic medieval Castle in the company of Rick Wakeman and Gordon Giltrap,
(Friday) attendance at the sound check and Rick's rehearsal with the Choir and organ
Car parking adjacent to the Priory,
VIP entrance into St Nicholas Chapel,
Bubbly reception prior to the concert in St Nicholas Chapel,
Signed concert programme,
And, of course, the obligatory VIP laminated lanyard!
