A Little Princess

Rising Youngstars are proud to present the Scottish Premiere of the Andrew Lippa Musical, 'A Little Princess'.

A musical based on the 1905 novel of the same name by Frances Hodgson Burnett. The musical follows a young girl, Sara Crewe, who spent most of her childhood in Africa with her father, Captain Crewe. Sara is sent to Miss Minchin’s Finishing Academy for Incipient Young Women.

While she is there she realizes how different her life is in London but she refuses to let go of the lessons she has learned while in Africa. The show boasts an eclectic score of musical theatre numbers with a strong African beat that makes this musical a fun, upbeat theatre experience for the whole family.

Rising Youngstars is a children’s musical theatre company based in rural Angus. The company’s most recent successes have included Bugsy Malone, The Wizard of Oz and Annie. Come along to the Kirriemuir Town Hall on a cold Scottish night in February and let this vibrant young cast transport you to Timbuktu and back again!
