Runaways. Fairies. Goblins... Water Pistols??? Look out, it's Rubbish Shakespeare!
Described as 'like Horrible Histories but funnier' by Primary Times, the Rubbish Shakespeare Company are back following another sell-out, five-star Edinburgh Fringe Festival at Kettering Arts Centre.
Athens. The past. Four idiots enter wearing bed sheets for togas. With rubbish props, silly wigs and a ladder they attempt to perform the Dream in an hour, and fail miserably. With hilarious results. Expect a trail of chair legs, bubble guns, life-size cardboard cutouts, lightsabers and a frankly pitiful attempt at flight!
Chock full of slapstick action, audience interaction, and heaps of mischievous storytelling, this vibrant reimagining of A Midsummer Night's Dream is an all-ages comedy that promises belly laughs for the whole family.
They'll make a mess of this Dream, even if it bruises them.
** This show was rescheduled from 12th September 2020 (originally 21st March 2020).
