John Peel's Awake
Following last year’s hugely successful reading of Harry Lamb’s Shepherds’ Feast, the Lakeland Dialect Society is back with a script by former member Ruth Bulman. John Peel’s Awake is a poetic dialogue for eight voices, with different dialects representing features of the Cumbrian landscape.
The second part of the evening follows the format of a Shepherds’ Meet, with stories and song.
