Oog
Oog, winner of the Total Theatre Award for best physical / visual theatre at the Edinburgh Fringe 2015, is the latest dance-theatre piece from performer-director Al Seed. Oog is an intensely physical, and poetic, exploration of the trauma of conflict and the lasting psychological damage it can inflict, utilizing movement work and a powerful soundtrack from Guy Veale to lead audiences deep into the fractured mind of a shell-shocked soldier.
Oog is Al's first entirely movement-based work since The Factory, to which it is a companion piece. The Factory won the Jury Prize at the Arena Festival, Germany, 2006, was shortlisted for a Total Theatre Award, and enjoyed performances at the ICA, London as part of the London International Mime Festival.
