Ormiston Families Children's Marathon

Sunday 8th March will see the return of Ormiston Families Children’s Marathon at Trinity Park in Ipswich. Last year saw a successful first event seeing over 100 children take part and raising over £2,000.

Ormiston’s ‘Children’s Marathon’ is a 2.6 mile fun run, open to children aged 0-16 of all abilities - they can run, walk, toddle or even be pushed along the route in their buggies.

The London Marathon is the largest annual fundraising event on the planet so Ormiston Families would like to reflect this with our Children’s Marathon. To keep the Children’s Marathon as close to the real thing as possible the distance has been reduced to 2.6 miles – shorter but still challenging!

Each participant will receive a medal when they cross the line.

Registration is just £5 per person and we are hoping children will be able to raise some sponsorship too.

As an incentive, every race-goer that manages to raise more than £26.20 will receive a special reward.

We are also having a Family Fund day to run alongside the children’s Marathon, Bouncy Castle, Face Painting and lots of other games.
