Print, Stitch and Embellish! Free-Machine Embroidery Workshop

A fabulous day spent working from contemporary floral images. We will explore the effects of various opaque and metallic textile paints on both artists’ canvas and silk. You will be encouraged to explore your own inner creativity and see how a blank canvas can be built up effortlessly. Once we have painted, stamped and embossed you will free-machine embroider your panel using the darning foot. The second piece can be taken home to complete at your leisure.

No prior experience of free-machine embroidery required but being comfortable with the sewing machine will help.

Requirements: Everything will be provided, however participants must bring a manual and a darning foot for free-machine embroidery that can be used on their machine. Aprons will also be provided.

Day includes a tea/coffee break. Pre-booking essential.
