Fancy a mini-cruise across the North Sea to the Netherlands and back? VMS Live and P&O Ferries would like to welcome you on board the inaugural journey of HMS Prog.
Providing two days of the best that the Prog World has to offer, guests will be entertained by some of the finest progressive artists out there with their unique sets. Very special guests will be Geoff Downes (who will be appearing on both legs of the cruise) playing live, as well as hosting a Q&A Session (no doubt there’ll be lots of juicy stories!).
As well as Geoff Downes, there’ll be guest appearances and exhibitions by legends such as Roger Dean and ‘Prog Magazine’ Editor Jerry Ewing. On top of this, P&O will be showing classic film footage of Prog Greats in cinemas onboard (including a special feature on the recently departed John Wetton). There will also be a collectors fair and full artists merchandise on sale. To make things extra special, a daytime gig will be taking place in Amsterdam on the Saturday.

Caravan are considered by many to be the undisputed, unsung heroes of the British Prog movement. Often quoted as being one of the most formidable acts to emerge from the '60s progressive rock scene, over the years they have managed to achieve cult status and have maintained a passionate and diehard following.
Originally formed in Canterbury in 1968, Caravan were at the heart of the 1970s burgeoning Canterbury rock movement, and produced their own brand of "superior pop music, full of taste, craftsmanship and hard work" (NME) and packed venues worldwide. The current Caravan line-up includes Pye Hastings (1968 founding member: guitar, lead vocals), Geoffrey Richardson (joined 1972: viola, guitar, flute, vocals), Jan Schelhaas (keyboards), Jim Leverton (bass, vocals) and Mark Walker (drums, percussion).

Focus tour dates
Formed in 1978, Stroud. In 1982 Pendragon's then Manager booked a young band called Marillion to play and added Pendragon as support. The two bands hit it off and Pendragon toured extensively with Marillion for several years in the UK whilst building their own strong and loyal following. 1983 saw Pendragon play to 30,000 strong audience at Reading Festival and they have gone on to become one of the UK's leading prog-rock bands.
