Martin Simpson, Carrie Martin

Our aim at K94 is to bring musicians from around our city and the world to create shows that we ourselves would love to see. This is why one of the first regular K94 Music Club nights welcomes Martin Simpson. He has influenced a generation of folk artists and his shows tell the stories of both of a life that has taken him to many places and the lives of those who are preserved in folk music.

When we called to invite him I got through to his house phone and could here guitar music in the background. It turned out he had 4 friends round for a day a 'playing around with guitars' as he put it. If youre one of the 80 people who join us that night you'll see he does far more than just play around with his guitar.

Carrie Martin is one of the Hulls most talented singer song writers and her voice is taking her to great places. This night at k94 will be very special indeed.
