Omar Puente's Cuban Jazz Sextet

Forthcoming album Best Foot Forward represents the second stage of an international musical journey for world renowned violinist Omar Puente, and continues where his debut release From There to Here left off. This second installment continues to draw upon musical influences from around the globe and reflects a career living and working with musicians from all over the world. Rooted in Omar’s Afro Cuban heritage, the project fuses musical experiences from Brazil, Africa, the Caribbean and Europe, with a deep understanding of Jazz. This rich mix produces an album of complex and infectious rhythms and original melodies, performed by a multinational sextet, and an unusual combination of violin, trombone and extended rhythm section.
