Britain’s leading sea shanty group, audiences everywhere rave over the harmonies of Kimber’s Men. They have appeared at festivals in Belgium, Ireland, Denmark and at home, and they also starred in the BBC’s Shanties and Sea Songs with Gareth Malone.
Most members of Kimber’s Men have been playing on the British folk scene since the 1960s, and their song Don’t Take the Heroes, written in the aftermath of the Penlee lifeboat disaster, is now sung by shanty bands all over the world.
