Caolin Clay are a wholesome and tight knit sounding sextet from Brighton who feature a strong and soulful lead voice backed by dense harmonies and funky contrapuntal horn arrangements with fresh angular guitar and bass work locked in with some modern hiphop break beats to boot. Influences range from Bud Powell to Sly Stone to Mahavishnu Orchestra.
