Belltree Music Therapy is very happy to celebrate their 10th anniversary featuring live music from members of Gomez and Massive Attack in The Venue to raise money for Beltree Charity.
These two acts originated in the London jazz scene in the 1980's, both celebrating their 30th anniversaries this year.
Huggy and the Bears formed at the University of Kent in 1989 just as the latin jazz scene found a wider audience. Their unique take on the sound saw them gig extensively over the years, taking in London's Jazz Cafe, Ronnie Scott's and Dingwalls, as well as support slots with Mother Earth, The James Taylor Quartet, and Maceo Parker. 30 years in the making, their wide-ranging set will take in covers and original material both vocal and instrumental, all with the powerful, infectious groove that is their hallmark. Not to be missed
'One Woman One Drum' features 2 founder members of the Guest Stars (Josefina Cupido and Linda Malone), one of the main women's jazz ensembles to emerge out the eclectic & diverse music scene in the early 80s in London. The musical union of these two extraordinary female musicians and music therapists for this benefit will be a rare & exciting collaboration, bringing together their love of all things Voice and Drums. Strap-in you flight seats for what will be a fascinating and meaningful musical exploration!
