Lags

Lags is set in a fictional men’s prison. Hutchinson explores the relationships and mentalities of five men who are all serving long terms. Into their midst comes the attractive Eva, who is a drama therapist with idealistic views about the power of theatrical expression.

The play offers a persuasive indictment of the present penal system: one in which any idealistic initiative is likely to be crushed by institutional conservatism.
