The Souvenir (J Hogg, 2019)
An aspiring artist falls in love with a manipulative older man. Hogg continues her focus on the emotional lives of the British upper middle classes with a story based on her own love affair in the 80s. Tilda Swinton and Honor Swinton Byrne play mother and daughter and Tom Burke is magnetic as the suave but cruel boyfriend. Grand Jury Prize winner at Sundance
