A Different Class of Murder
Lord Lucan has become a byword for treachery, murder and escape from justice. On a winter’s night in 1974, Lucan’s nanny was found bludgeoned to death in the basement of his smart Belgravia home. His wife had also been attacked. Lord Lucan hasn’t been seen since despite a worldwide search, but even now forty years on, there are repeated sightings of him. Biographer Laura Thompson investigates the events leading up to that fateful night and weighs up the truths and lies behind one of Britain’s most notorious unsolved murders. Chaired by Lynn Curtis.
