Please note: Info provided by the Event Organiser

Long running Hereford club night Reggae Pie were formed in 2011 by married DJ’s Nico Demus and Ally Baba.

As well as founding and playing for Reggae Pie, the DJs have performed at venues all over the country including at Edgbaston Cricket Stadium and in support of illustrious acts such as Craig Charles, the Blockheads and the late DJ Derek.

Reggae Pie now as a residency at Babar Cafe in Hereford where the night is the exciting new venue’s biggest pull. Pie revellers always know that the music and atmosphere will be foot stompingly good quality fun.

The night pulls in a wide range of age groups, being loved by everyone from the faithful ska and reggae fans of the 70’s and 80’s as well as finding new younger reggae heads.

Nico Demus is particularly well known for finishing off the nights with a climactic ska set, although he also loves dancehall, Calypso and dub. His tastes lie in the old school side of reggae although there are many new bands creating music whose music he celebrates.

Ally Baba arrived at Reggae through the tunes from the Jamaican songstresses of the 70’s. Now her set includes genius tracks by new artists who songs can’t help but rip into your boots, as well as fabulous reggae mash ups and remixes.

Reggae Pie also has a stable of other DJs and bands, where no one Reggae Pie is like any other. For this third gig at the Globe in Hay however, it will be the founders themselves who will came to play for your ultimate enjoyment!
