Alex Garnett's Bunch Of Fives, Alex Garnett

London-based saxophonist and composer Alex Garnett brings his twin tenor saxophone quintet to Havant for an evening of cool contemporary jazz.

Alongside Garnett in the duelling saxophone role is New York-based Tim Armacost, whilst the versatile rhythm section features UK pianist Liam Noble, American bassist Michael Janisch, and one of London’s most in-demand young drummers, James Maddren.

With an emphasis on swing and groove, Bunch of Fives bring the bebop back with an expressive, melodious edge.
