Iolanthe

The New London Opera Group will be hoping to go one better at next year’s festival. In 2017 they were the second runners-up. In 2018 they were runners-up with an outstanding production of “Patience.” In 2019 they return with Iolanthe, the story of a fairy who has been banished from fairyland for marrying a mortal.
The New London Opera Group affectionately known as NEWLog was founded in 2003 by the disbanded University of London Opera group. Although G&S forms the backbone of the group’s repertoire they are not afraid to explore other sections of the British operatic repertoire. They have a very happy second home at the Riverhead Theatre in Louth Lincolnshire.
