Halifax Choral Society, North Of England Concert Orchestra, John Pryce-Jones

Halifax Choral Society perform this wonderful work. There are a great many choral works that this choir can perform but this is a favourite, the choir would describe it as "a really good sing". Its not a huge work, and so it requires a good Musical Director to put together a programme to surround it - the Choirs John Pryce-Jones has done a fantastic job here and concert goers are in store for a great concert.

So what is in store is not only Haydn's Nelson Mass but also the first movement of Bach's Watchet Auf (sleepers wake) described as being the most beautiful of wake-up calls! Also on the programme is Handel's My Heart Is Inditing which was written for the Coronation of George II and Queen Caroline, and then by complete contrast is the beautiful Purcell Trumpet Concerto which will give the North of England Classical Orchestra the chance to show their skills.

Soloists are Catrin Pryce-Jones, Claire Pascoe, Dominic Barberi and Nicholas Watts.
