My Death, My Decision - Doctor-Assisted Suicide In Switzerland
Dr. Michael Irwin is a former GP who, for ten years, was the Medical Director at the United Nations in New York.
Since retiring to the UK, he has been an active right-to-die campaigner (being a former Chairman of the Voluntary Euthanasia Society, now called Dignity in Dying).
In this frank and illuminating talk, he will discuss how a 'right-to-die' law works in several US States and also in Belgium and The Netherlands - while also describing why many still object to such a law.
Following on from Dr Irwin’s talk, there will be an opportunity to ask questions and to discuss the issues raised.
