Brighton's seminal folk-rock outfit formed by Mark Chadwick and Jeremy Cunningham in the late 80s who take their name from the 17th century radical democracy movement. Over the years they've become a staple on festival bills with their crowd pleasing blend of fiddles, guitars and biting political lyrics. Their 14 top 40 singles include the perennial anthems 'One Way', 'Hope Street' and 'What A Beautiful Day', which inspired the name for their annual curated music festival; 'Beautiful Days'.
Levellers tour dates
Featuring former Clash guitarist Mick Jones together with Tony James from Generation X.
Carbon Silicon tour dates
A psychedelic rock band founded in San Francisco, California in the early 90s, led by Anton Newcombe. They are most famous for their role in the 2004 documentary 'DiG!', which details their explosive onstage antics and their feud with fellow 60's psych-rock revivalists the Dandy Warhols. Describing their music Anton ( co-writer / vocalist ) says: ' This is not some mamby-pamby-pop-culture-vomit, regurgitating or emulating something else. These are whispers from the underworld and tears of joy from heaven. These are anthems for all time'.
The Brian Jonestown Massacre tour dates
Singer-songwriter with enough funk to give KT Tunstall or Sandi Thom a real run for their money. Sweet, soulful and delicately punk, Wallis Bird is the ultimate female hero. Often compared to a young Janis Joplin, she fuses elements of folk music, blues and funk, with an energetic unique rock sound. Her exceptional voice allows for an already huge repertoire from soft folk ballads to rousing power songs. An exceptional guitarist, her unique playing style comes from a childhood accident which permanently damaged her left hand, Bird learned to play her instrument flipped back to front, resulting in her own bafflingly complex chord fingerings, much to the bewilderment of audiences across Europe.
