The Legend of King Arthur

This Autumn, join Guildford Shakespeare on a legendary family adventure!
From humble beginnings as a knight’s squire, who pulls the sword from the stone, to his destiny as King of the Britons, join us for the famous story of the ‘once and future king’, Arthur Pendragon…but as Arthur gathers his Knights of the Round Table, a terrible threat surfaces in the shape of the formidable White Dragon, unleashed by an unexpected adversary.
Expect all the well-known elements of the Arthur story including Camelot, Excalibur, the Lady of the Lake and of course the all-powerful wizard Merlin, guiding Arthur towards his destiny…staged in a magical antique Spiegeltent!
Written and directed by Caroline Devlin (Macbeth, King Lear, Henry V) especially for GSC, Arthur will transport you to a world of medieval magic and mystery.
