Next year marks fifty years since Jake Thackray's earthy comic genius burst onto Saturday night TV. Less well known is that his musical and wordsmithing styles developed in France, largely influenced by Georges Brassens, who became a lifelong friend. Jake Thackray is now increasingly recognised as 'the English chansonnier'.

Pianist and singer Andy Johnson takes us on his fourth musical and biographical Jake Thackray tour, this time with a healthy seasoning of Georges Brassens, both in the original French and in Jake's creatively loose English adaptations.
