Scarlet thought Alex was the man of her dreams. True, he might wear Noel Edmonds ties & tank tops - but with a little fixing-up? He could just be the soul mate this vibrant woman with flowers in her hair has been waiting for after a lifetime of bad relationships, but cracks quickly appear in Alex’s neat appearance. He “isn’t comfortable” with Scarlet seeing her male friends. Neighbors complain about the shouting coming from his flat. His friends disown him after a distraught Scarlet discloses his behavior. His only sympathizer is Jason - a man barred from contacting his wife.

And yet charity worker Christine believes both men may not be in the wrong at all. And she’s determined to make an uninterested world understand why.
