JJ Gilmour, David Sharp

Internationally acclaimed Scottish singer-songwriter JJ Gilmour made his recording debut in 1989 with The Silencers, one of Scotland’s top bands who were successful throughout Europe. He first joined the band as a backing vocalist though later in the band’s career JJ progressed seamlessly to lead vocalist. After an initial period of prolific song-writing in 2001 at his home in Jersey (Channel Islands), JJ left for New York to record his critically acclaimed debut solo album ‘sunnyside P.A.L’ Produced by Dan Wise (Scissor sisters) and mixed by Michael Brauer (Coldplay, John Meyer). The album became the catalyst for establishing his now fiercely loyal fan base and gained acclaim from his peers as an ‘outstanding debut album’. JJ is currently living in Scotland and has recorded his third album ‘Slocomotion’, which is out now.

Dave Sharp, lead guitarist and co-founder of British rock band, The Alarm comes from Manchester. At the end of The Alarm's 1991 world tour, Sharp headed for American shores to record and release his first solo album, Hard Travlin'. Now a solo singer/songwriter inspired by the spirit of Woody Guthrie and the American X-stations, Sharp began touring the U.S. extensively. In 1994, Sharp teamed up again with legendary producer, Bob Johnston, and with the help of friends from Santana and The John Cougar Melancamp Band, recorded his second solo album, Downtown America. The album was released in 1996, gaining healthy respect at American radio and with the American press. Sharp toured the US, teaming up occasionally with musicians such as Willie Nelson, Charlie Daniels, and Johnny Cash.
