Real Mermaid's Tale - is an engaging family show that is an adventure, a mystery and visual treat. An original and compelling story carries the show along with one performer, a crew of puppet rats, some magical maps and an underwater shadow sequence set to a specially commissioned musical score by Chris Ashton.

Intrepid explorer, Amelia Buttersnap, investigator of hidden and magical creatures, goes in search of real mermaids. Along the way she encounters pirates, monstrous sea creatures and even saves the mermaids' treasure.

An adventure on the high seas full of fantasy, intrigue and audience participation suitable for all families with children over 3 years.

Karen's comments: I have been wanting to get Ripstop Theatre on our programme for a while, this finely crafted show which includes shadow puppetry and a fantastic multi-function set is suitable for a range of children with rats, pirates and mermaids galore!
