Linda Lewis (1), Liz Simcock

We welcome Linda Lewis to Grayshott to play a special intimate acoustic gig for us. Linda's music incorporates Folk, Funk and Soul and her recordings span many years. Her first album "Say No More", released in 1971, was followed by "Lark" in 1972. However, it is her third album "Fathom's Deep" from 1973, that became a real favourite of mine.
Linda has a vocal range very few singers can attain and her songs tap every emotion.

She appeared many times on Top of The Pops in the 1970s, with hits such as: Rock-a Doodle Doo, Sideway Shuffle and The Shoop Shoop Song (It's In His Kiss), which later became a big chart hit for Cher.

She has sung on albums by David Bowie, Al Kooper, Chris Spedding, Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel, Rick Wakeman, Rod Stewart and Joan Armatrading. Linda featured in a Hits show at The Jazz Café in June 2014 and was invited to sing for Tony Blackburn's Soul Night Out as part of the BBC's Children In Need in November 2014.
