A warehouse. Two workers. Boxes. Lots of boxes.

Ralph works in the warehouse. He loves his job. He prides himself on it. Before he retires he wants to pass on all he knows to the "new boy". But he's in for a shock.

The "new boy" turns out to be Kate - a young woman with a degree in International Distribution Logistics. Ambitious, she has her sights set far higher than his. She knows she is going places.

Shifting Sands deftly turns the humdrum into the hilarious, creating clown theatre that will have the audience rocking in their seats. Yet this is not just light comedy. As the warehouse world totters and collapses Kate and Ralph find themselves on a roller coaster ride where the meaning of life is explored with comic precision - and Ralph reveals The Philosophy of Boxes!
