The Holiday season is well on its way and Gloucester Quays is preparing to take visitors back in time, to a Dickensian era thanks to its Victorian Christmas Markets and Open-Air Ice Rink which start on Thursday 14 November.

Running until 24 November, the markets will showcase some of the finest artisan goods from across the region, thanks to some of very best independents being selected from across Gloucestershire to sell their wares. With over 150 stalls on offer, there will be everything to raise the Christmas cheer from delicious roasted chestnuts and award winning gins to handcrafted candles and mulled wine.

Transporting you back in time, the markets will be brought to life with Victorian street performers, live blacksmith demonstrations and stall holders who will be dressed in Victorian attire. Paired with the stunning back drop of Gloucester Quays and the historic docks, this makes for the perfect trip out.

The large Open-Air Ice Rink taking over Orchard Square is the perfect spot for a little fun, encapsulating the romance of winter. Over 450m2, skaters – novice or experienced, will be able to take to the ice from Thursday 14 November until 5 January. And with the cosy bar right next to the rink, visitors be able to ‘warm their cockles’ with a nice glass of mulled wine whilst watching friends and family on the ice.

Tickets start from £7.40 for children and £9.80 for adults, there are also family passes available at £31 and discounted concessions. The rink will be open every day from the 14 Nov – 5 Jan excluding Christmas Day with sessions available from 12:35 – 21:00 Monday – Friday and 09:50 – 21:00 on Saturdays and 09:50 – 19:00 on Sundays.
