Messiaen L’ascension
Gloucester Cathedral’s very own Organist, Jonathan Hope will perform Olivier Messiaen’s famous l’Ascension. Originally described as "four meditations for orchestra", L’Ascension or “The Ascension” was transcribed for organ in 1934. Jonathan will play the most well-known version.
Come and hear this stunning piece on the wonderful organ of Gloucester Cathedral. Admission to the recital is free with a retiring collection in aid of Cathedral Music.
