The loud-mouthed bible-bashing alter-ego of former teacher Jim Muir simply demands attention with his in-your-face evangelical preaching. The larger-than-life act is an impressive performance that can blow an audience away with the power of personality.
'His act is a tour de force in political incorrectness, and when blended with a brilliant sense of timing, it proves to be devilishly funny... Uproarious... Hilarious! (Broadway Baby)
'Unforgettable character comedy’ (Evening News)
'The best comedian I've seen who doesn't have his own chat show....It baffles me
that the Rev (played by Jim Muir) is performing at Fringe bar in Edinburgh when he could easily fill a prime-time slot on ITV’ (The Spectator)
'The man is a tornado, a fount of pitch-perfect jokes coupled with quite masterful timing and material that flouts the very laws of censure... Howlingly funny (Metro).
Reverend Obadiah Steppenwolfe III tour dates
Scottish Comedian Of The Year 2006 returns with his dark, sarcastic, hilarious take on the world. A mix of dark humour with cutting observations and clever one-liners.
Prepare to be shocked.
'A star in the making' (The List)
'An unquestionably talented writer and performer... great jokes, and lots of them' (The Daily Telegraph)
'A remarkably accomplished stage presence... blistering material which pushes dangerously near the boundaries of good taste' (The Sunday Times).
Mark Nelson tour dates
'Glasgow born and bread, Scott Gibson smashed onto the stand-up scene in November 2010, quickly establishing himself on the circuit.
A storyteller at heart, Gibson mixes a conversational style with his own unique brand of dark humour. Confidently leading his audience down a path, few dare to tread. This ability to push boundaries and control any room he plays, has allowed Gibson to move up the ranks quicker than many before him.
'He's got oomph, energy and likeability' (Chortle)
'Gibson is a natural' (The Skinny)
'The best act to emerge from Scotland in years' (Des Clarke)
'A natural, gifted, unapologetic storyteller' (Frankie Boyle)
'He blew my mind, exceptional delivery' (Daniel Sloss).
Scott Gibson tour dates
Scotland’s acclaimed comic, storyteller and social commentator was a founder of the Funny Farm Comedy Collective which in 1989 helped kick-start the Scottish stand-up scene. Since then Bruce has been a stalwart of the Scottish comedy scene and his contributions, though too many to list, include Rab C. Nesbitt, The Funny Farm and The Late Show.Bruce is regular on radio and a freelance writer to boot with articles in The Herald, Scotsman, Big Issue and The Guardian to name a few. He has also written and performed in various theatre productions through the years. A mix of wry intelligence and devastating one-liners keeps him ahead of the herd.
