Hunting High And Low Live: a-ha
a-ha have always set themselves challenges. In 2018, their the MTV Unplugged tour proved that their songs could be given new settings and remain as alive and as impactful as ever.
Now, pushing even further, they are announcing that their October and November 2019 tour, including a date at London’s Royal Albert Hall will be different from anything they have previously undertaken.
Magne Furuholmen, Morten Harket and Pål Waaktaar-Savoy will be performing in An Evening With format, with an interval. For the first half of the concert, they will play new and old, familiar and less-familiar songs. Then, after returning to the stage, they will play the ten songs of their 1985 debut album Hunting High And Low in the running order of the original release.
This event takes place at The Scottish Event Centre & Clyde Auditorium (The Armadillo), which has achieved Bronze Status for disabled access from Attitude Is Everything.
In the mid 1980s, Norwegian trio a-ha created teenage hysteria and general pandemonium wherever they went with hits such as 'Take On Me', which was essentially the soundtrack of the decade. Since 1985, a-ha have released ten studio albums and 41 singles, sold in excess of 55 million albums, performed over 560 concerts in 36 countries.
They have also received many prestigious awards and honours, including in 2006 receiving the 'Q Inspiration Award' in honour of their lasting musical influence. All three band members also received a knighthood from His Majesty King Harald of Norway for their contributions to music and dedication to the Norwegian music scene.
a-ha decided to split in 2010, following their final world tour, but reformed in 2015 for their thirtieth anniversary tour, and continue to always shine, whether on TV or on stage.
