In response to the eternal assumption that the only woman in the band must be the singer, Bitches Brew is a night of music written, improvised and performed by some of the best female instrumentalists around.

Flying in the face of reports that all-female bands are often seen by bookers as novelty acts, and that more than one in a night would just be over-kill, double bass player Emma Smith presents a gloriously eclectic night of music which celebrates the mind-blowing variety of talent pushing the boundaries of creative music.
