Conor Oberst + Dawes
Conor Oberst kicks off the first leg of a world tour in support of his new album Upside Down Mountain, released on May 19th. The tour includes four UK dates in Manchester, London and Glasgow in July, plus an appearance at Latitude festival.
Prior to the album release, a limited-edition seven-inch single will be released exclusively for Record Store Day (Saturday April 19th). This special single will feature album track ‘Hundreds Of Ways’ along with album outtake ‘Fast Friends’ on the B-side.
Conor's friends and colleagues Dawes appear on the bill as Special Guests – both opening the shows and acting as Oberst’s band for the tour.
This event takes place at O2 ABC Glasgow (ABC1 & ABC2), which has achieved Silver Status for disabled access from Attitude Is Everything.
Singer-songwriter from Omaha, Nebraska, best known for his work in Bright Eyes, Desaparecidos and The Mystic Valley Band. Since 2012 he has performed under his own name, with a number of releases including Upside Down Mountain, Ruminations and Salutations.

Brothers Taylor and Griffin Goldsmith, along with Wylie Gelber and Tay Strathairn are a rock band from L.A., and part of the 'Laurel Canyon sound', with influences including Crosby, Stills & Nash and Neil Young, amongst others. Dawes' debut album, 'North Hills', was recorded in Laurel Canyon in a live setting to analog tape, resulting in a sound that Rolling Stone magazine called "authentically vintage".
Dawes are capitalising on the tremendous reaction to their first UK visit by supporting Mumford & Sons on their sold out tour, which will take them the length and breadth of the country, including some massive stadia.
