A Taste Of Science With James Martin

James Martin will be the speaker at the second annual Taste Of Science dinner, and you are invited to secure a table at what promises to be one of the most fascinating evenings of the year.

With tools and ideas from science, there is a huge new trend of 'laboratory cooking', but is this fascinating development in the history of food and eating a fad or as important as good quality natural ingredients?

Guaranteed to appeal to those that like to eat, as well as those who like to cook, the 'Taste of Science Dinner' will be hosted by the hugely popular and influential chef James Martin. Probably best known as the presenter of BBC's Saturday Kitchen, James is passionate about all things culinary and will explore the fun of experimenting with food and putting together unusual flavours. Inspiration and guidance to take home to your own kitchen!

His presentation and question & answer session will be followed by a unique treat. All guests will have the wonderful opportunity to savour a fabulous 4-course dinner cooked for you by our own GSC chefs:

Lobster, scallops, clams and mussels with sand, sea foam and seaweed
Lemon, pickled ginger and green tea sorbet, raspberry glass
Trio of duck, roast breast, smoked leg and white chocolate and liver parfait with potato terrine, pea jelly and glazed baby carrots
Pina colada, textures of pineapple, rum, coconut and cherry
A vegetarian option is available on request.

To book, please call Kerry Bottomley on 0141 420 5000 ext 375 during office hours
