Jay Kilbride's Caturbhyas

Original compositions in the ECM tradition, featuring post-bop, folk and rock influences, from Glasgow bassist Jay Kilbride, Fat-Suit's Scott Murphy (sax - and whistle!), long-time Scottish jazz hero Chick Lyall (piano) and Chris Whitehouse (drums). The name, from the Sanskrit meaning 'by, with or from 4', reflects the collaborative nature of the music, with group interplay, and energy in performance. Expect strong melodies and dynamic European jazz.
