As celebrations around the world go on this weekend to mark the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, the RCS too commemorates this singularly remarkable individual with a programme of activities.
The weekend culminates in the glorious City Halls with a programme of orchestral works directly influenced by the Bard. Led by the mercurial talent of David Danzmayr, the programme concludes with the iconic suite of descriptive scenes for Romeo and Juliet by Sergei Prokofiev.
