Greatest Hits Live: Shed Seven + Mark Morriss (The Bluetones)
Shed Seven have announced their first full UK tour in two years. The acclaimed five piece and live favourites will be performing their greatest hits and a selection of fan favourites this December including the ever popular hit singles ‘Going For Gold’, ‘Disco Down" and ‘Chasing Rainbows’.
“The Sheds are pleased to announce that we will be touring again this year in the run up to the Christmas holidays. We've still got it, so yeah, we're gonna flaunt it... It's a great time to play and to be honest December wouldn’t be the same without a Sheds gig would it? We are looking forward to playing once more for our ever loyal following. See you down the front....." - Rick Witter.
Nineties Brit-Pop group Shed Seven who, fronted by the unmistakable vocals of Rick Witter, brought us hits such as Going For Gold, Chasing Rainbows and Getting Better.
Shed Seven formed in York in 1990, out of the ashes of Brockley Haven, they were one of the groups which contributed to the Britpop music scene of the 1990s, but they never received the degree of mainstream success achieved by the likes of Oasis and Blur. The band officially split up in 2003 but reformed in 2007 for a greatest hits tour, and have since continued to play shows around Britain periodically.

Best known as the frontman in The Bluetones, Mark Morriss released his debut solo album Memory Muscle on June 2, 2008. Getting his hands dirty with his own set of songs has been an inspiring experience for Morriss, who started trying them out acoustically at open mic nights in London way back in 2004. 'I'd just turn up with my guitar, play five or six songs, along with everyone else. I didn't want any special favours, and just enjoyed the experience of stripping things right back down' - Morriss.
