Glasgow band Restricted Code emerged in the white heat of Scotland's post-punk explosion, alongside bands including Orange Juice, Altered Images and label-mates, The Fire Engines. Signed to the Pop:aural independent label, the band released three records, recorded John Peel and other BBC Radio sessions and toured the UK and Europe to rave reviews. Sounds music paper claiming they played the best gig of 1981.
The original members of the band re-formed early in 2018. Their live shows dip into the back catalogue to revisit the best of their original material, but the strength of their new material means it blends effortlessly into their set.
