Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Michelle Shocked, affectionately known as the Godmother of Americana brings her unique blend of indie, folk, blues and politics to the 13th Note this March in her first (and only) Glasgow date in 5 years.

Not one to shy away from controversy, Shocked’s dynamic personality, frank storytelling, and captivating vocals promise an intimate and unforgettable evening of music, as she performs the entirety of her cult album Short Sharp Shocked.

Short Sharp Shocked, Captain Swing and Arkansas Traveler are arguably her most enduring works and The Mercury Rising Tour will see her perform each of the albums in its entirety, with great banter and a few surprise numbers thrown into the mix.
