Mendelssohn: Elijah

Newcastle Bach Choir joins forces with a guest choir from Newcastle's twinned town Gelsenkirchen, Germany, to sing Mendelssohn's Elijah - a wonderful musical journey through key events in the story of Elijah, including a dramatic retelling
(resinging?) of the contest between Elijah and the prophets of Baal. As well as the drama there are many beautiful melodies for choir and soloists.
