Rory Pilgrim

Rory Pilgrim will present a new performance as part of Software Garden, a new body of work exploring connections between technology, disability and care as a way of examining larger political frameworks.

Taking the form of an experimental music album, Software Garden aims to grow as a space for voices and bodies from different backgrounds, ages, human and robotic to come together to propose how people intersect technological systems with basic human principles of care and kindness. As part of World Is Sudden: Summer Lab, Pilgrim will present an evening performance based on a collaboration with participants from the summer school.

Unfolding somewhere between Kabuki theatre, a pop concert and a space for social action the performance interweaves poetry, music and choreography. Inspired by collaborative forms of quick action, improvisation and group making, the performance invites people to encounter a space of joy as a form of resistance and collective experience.
