Winterbourne Harvest Day

Permission to host an October fair in Winterbourne was granted by King Richard II in 1393 to Blanche de Bradeston, heir of Sir Thomas de Bradeston who had the Barn built in 1342. Nearly 700 years on, join Barn Volunteers for all the feel of a village Harvest Fayre from days gone by.

There will be a rolling programme of entertainment through the day including Winterbourne Down Border Morris, live music from The Frampton Shantymen, The Mighty Shin-kickers, and Bygonz minstrels, the Chicken Charmer Farmers childrens' entertainers, and (of course) Ferret racing! Special activities for young children start with Storytime at 11am.

Come and see vintage tractors and stationary engines, and a range of artisan craft and food stalls. Have a go at old-fashioned traditional games, and enjoy excellent food and drink available all day. A great day out for all the family at an affordable price.

Early bird tickets booked before 4 October are £5 adult, £1 child. Gate price £7 adults and £2 child (cash or card).

FREE parking at Winterbourne Academy (High Street) with FREE shuttle buses to and from the Barn (collapsible buggies can be taken on the bus). There is a small amount of blue badge parking at the Barn but these spaces must be booked in advance.
