Wallingford's Summer Music Festival - RugFest

Across the evening of Friday 19th and all day on Saturday the 20th June 2015, Wallingford Rugby Club will be hosting thousands of families and festival goers at Oxfordshire’s ultimate family-friendly festival - Rugfest. Now in its seventh year, this ever expanding Summer festival offers fans the very best musical talent from across the country, tonnes of activities for kids and a superb range of beverages and cuisine.

After last year’s musical extravaganza including a stand out set from Hue & Cry, this year the organisers are delighted to announce that The Christians, the outstanding, soul influenced group who had hits in the late 80’s and 90’s including ‘Forgotten Town’, ‘Harvest For The World’, ‘Born Again’, ‘Ideal World’, and ‘Hooverville’, will be headlining Saturday’s stage joining other bands already announced Land Of The Giants and festival favourites Will And The People.

Rugfest truly is a family event and little ones will be spoilt for choice this year. There’s everything from Trampolines to Jan’s Blackboard Van, Zorb Balls to an Arts and Crafts tent. It doesn’t stop there; Bouncy Castles, Bungee Runs, Blow up Boxing, high flying trampolines, Face Painting and, if they’re still standing, a 2 hour disco; just for kids!

Enjoy all this with a local tipple of your choice. Variety is the key with freshly made cocktails from the mixologists of Wallingford's Old Post Office, plus Loddon Ales – Cotswold Lagers and chilled ciders from across the country. A variety of fresh and tasty hot food is available throughout the event, including Secret Pizza Society Pizzas, Shredded Meat, Thai cuisine, and the stunning Raclette of le Rac-shac. Bungle’s Mum’s Emporium provides the tea, coffee and snacks and there’s our refreshing Ice Cream Parlour too.
