Now in it's 5th year, The Big Green Cardigan has a wonderful, friendly atmosphere in an incredibly beautiful intimate setting .
Intimate and relaxed, this festival is not big, nor is it brash. And they mean intimate, hundreds not thousands.
There is no corporate sponsorship and there are no gimmicks. In a way the event is "old school". The crowd genuinely listen to the music - it is a gathering place for music lovers - musical tastes of all kinds are catered for.
Musically, there is no theme. But there will be lots of it; lots of music with no distinctive style - from Americana to Country to Blues and even a touch of acoustic tribal trance.
The festival is for over 18's only (it is not a child-focused event) and runs 2 live music stages. Unlike many events, Big Green Cardigan-goers can get to see all the acts, as the stages perform alternately.
As well as a myriad of musical styles, festival goers can also embrace yoga, outdoor activities, no children (!) and lots of other trimmings expected of a boutique countryside festival.
Local real ales and ciders, home cooked food (at sensible prices) and enough clean (and regularly checked) toilets to go round.
Come along; enjoy the event and the music, and respect the musicians, your fellow guests and the environment. Chill, have fun, meet some new pals and relish in this beautiful place, which enjoys fabulous views across the East Sussex countryside.
